So much has happened in the world and in Africa specifically that have led us to where we are today. There have been events throughout history that are less forgettable than others and so today, with the help of The Winter African Blogging Challenge, we get to look back at those times or see them for the first time through someone else’s eyes.
Today’s prompt is, “Choose an event in African history and write as if you were present.” Unfortunately I am sitting this one out but, I have put shared some amazing stories from 3 bloggers I follow from different countries (Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe). I hope you enjoy their pieces as much as I did and learn a little bit more about African History.
- A Day in History by Connie of Behind Closed Screens (A personal favourite!)
- Tale of Zambia’s Independence by Hope Chilinda
- Of Youth Day and the Soweto Uprising by Beaton of Becoming the Muse
I hope you had a good time reading them because I know I did. There are very few things I enjoy in life the way I enjoy seeing people’s creativity show up and show out!

Thanks for reading!
